Sundown Suppers: A Summer Rooftop Grill Series

This summer for the first time, we’re inviting some of the UK’s most exciting chefs to take over the Culpeper rooftop grill.

Once a month, a new chef will host a communal sunset dinner on our woodland rooftop with a 4-course menu inspired by seasonal produce grown on our farm and the rooftop. For the rest of the month, one of their dishes will remain on our rooftop menu as a wonderful souvenir of their time with us.

Guests join us on the rooftop to enjoy the early evening sun and a welcome cocktail. Then take your place on our long communal table under the silver birch trees, where dishes are shared between friends old and new. We will be serving drinks pairings, as well as offering our greenhouse private dining room as a Chef’s Table experience for groups of 8-10.

This September, our series comes to a grand finale with the wonderful Ned Burrell of Green Michelin Starred Knepp Wilding Kitchen. Head chef and Director of Knepp Wilding Kitchen on the Knepp Estate, Europe’s largest rewilding project, Ned’s cooking is all about our connection to the land, and how closeness with our ingredients yields the most delicious results. Expect a celebration of summer’s bounty, to send us into autumn in style.
